In Skiing: A relaxed upper body starts with a relaxed grip on your ski pole. 

The Teacup Grip: Your hand is gripping a ski pole correctly when the little finger and ring finger are relaxed and not resting against the grip. The gloved hand at the far right shows an incorrect grip, not relaxed and too forceful.
