ABOUT US – 

We are group of individuals that have enjoyed the outdoors in many ways, for many years. We have always been a very competitive group, and have participated in sports competitions on the local, national, and world stage over the last few decades.  

Like the youth of today, earlier in our lives we believed we were bulletproof and impervious to serious or chronic injury to our bodies. However, we have since realized we must find new ways to engage in physical activities that shield us from the more serious bumps, bruises, and breaks. 

Driven by this realization we have created the Weekend Warrior’s Guides To............... as a format upon which to deliver our message of physical and mental sustainability as we participate in recreational activities.  

Simply put, we want to be able to ski, rock climb, mountain bike, water ski, sail, and snorkel (just to mention a few) for the rest of our lives, at a very high skill level. 

To do this we are promoting and refining the instructional techniques and tricks-of-the-trade that allow us to, for the most part, turn all these fun activities into low-impact recreational pursuits that will keep us doing the things we love far into our golden years. 

If you follow our approach to recreational sports, you can reduce your exposure to injury. Just remember, there are no guarantees. 

Our pool of resources includes, but is not limited to the following:

  1. Nationally ranked and world champion skiers.

  2. Nationally ranked and State champion mountain biker racers.

  3. Ocean-going sailors.

  4. Circle-the-globe snorkeling types.

  5. World class and record-setting rock climbers.

  6. International high-altitude climbers.

  7. Extreme skiers.

  8. Nationally ranked master ski racers.

  9. World Travelers

  10. And, a large pool of talented sports enthusiasts from many disciplines.

In any sport or recreational activity our goal is to begin with the fundamentals and practice, practice, practice until we have developed the correct technique for a given sporting endeavor. Next, we utilize our technique to reach for loftier goals in a given sport. In doing so, we strive to reach our goals without injury to ourselves, or others, while continually building a healthy mind and a strong body.
